the story

So here we are

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, singer/songwriter Chris Sharpe has spent the last decade developing his unique pop/jazz sound. Joined by his wife Aleah, you can see them play at various venues across the Northwest. According to their parents and closest friends, they are Seattle's finest married couple singing duo. There's no way to prove that's true, but their mothers sure seem to think so.

Sharpe’s first album, Every Moment, was released in 2007 featuring 10 songs with both acoustic and full band performances. For many outside their personal music scene, the album was their first chance to discover his signature velvety smooth vocals that when combined with Aleah's uncanny ability to find the right harmony, just might make you want to put your arm around whoever may be sitting next to you at that moment. With comparisons to John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and Jack Johnson, Sharpe seems to be carving out a unique vocal and song-writing style that promises more surprises in the future, like singing jingles. You may recognize that curiously high tenor voice at the end of the CarToys commercial when he eloquently states, "Wanna play? Get your toys."

Following the release of Every Moment in 2007, Chris Sharpe won the Generator Stage Competition, voted by both the fans and judges as their choice of young artists to play at the Creation Music Festival, the nation’s largest Christian Music Festival, at the Gorge Amphitheatre. Among other bands, Sharpe has opened for MXPX, Eric Hutchinson and Brandon Heath.

In 2012, Chris and Aleah recorded an album designed for children and featuring Biblical Characters.

Chris and his wife Aleah are available for hire at private events across the Northwest.

Every Moment featured Aleah Sharpe, who joined him on vocals, creating a beautiful set of harmonies. The album also featured Jared MacFarlane on bass, James Rempt on lead guitar, Adam Persons on drums, Brian Eichelberger on violin and rhodes, and Seth Ogelsby percussion.
